With the exception of US, all G7 nations condemn newly-approved Israeli settlements

G7 member states, with the exception of the United States, have jointly condemned Israel's decision to approve 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank. The joint statement, which also included several other European nations, declared the settlements illegal under international law and a risk to regional stability. This action is viewed as undermining a two-state solution, with far-right Israeli lawmakers stating it is an effort to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state. While the US did not sign the statement, Washington is reportedly privately frustrated with the move.
