Why recognising 'Palestine' rewards Israel's PA collaborators, not the Palestinian people

The recent recognition of a "State of Palestine" by Britain and other European countries primarily benefits the unelected, collaborationist Palestinian Authority (PA), not the Palestinian people. This diplomatic move is framed as a continuation of a historical British colonial strategy, dating back to the Balfour Declaration, of empowering proxy leaders willing to work with occupying powers. By granting official status to the PA, these countries are rewarding a regime that allegedly works to sustain Israeli rule rather than advance genuine Palestinian liberation. This recognition of a fictional state serves to sideline authentic Palestinian representatives and their demands for independence.
