US revokes Colombian president's visa over remarks at pro-Palestine protest

The United States has revoked the visa of Colombian President Gustavo Petro after he made remarks at a pro-Palestine demonstration in New York. Speaking outside the UN, Petro called for a global armed force to liberate Palestinians and urged US soldiers to disobey President Donald Trump's orders. The US State Department described his actions as reckless and incendiary. Petro, who also accused the US of being complicit in genocide in Gaza during his UN General Assembly speech, has stated he holds Italian citizenship and would not need a visa to enter the United States.
