US invites Erdogan to join Gaza 'Board of Peace'

The US government has invited Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to join a 'Board of Peace' tasked with overseeing the administration and reconstruction of the Gaza Strip. This high-level body, chaired by US President Donald Trump, will include representatives from mediating countries like Egypt and Qatar, despite Israeli opposition to Erdogan's inclusion. The new governance framework also establishes a National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) to handle civil services and a separate Board of Peace Executive Board. The Executive Board, featuring figures like Marco Rubio, Jared Kushner, and Tony Blair, will be responsible for developing a long-term strategic vision for Gaza.
