US court questions legality of pro-Palestine British journalist's detention

A US federal court has raised serious questions regarding the legality of the detention of Sami Hamdi, a pro-Palestine British journalist. Hamdi was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) at a California airport during a speaking tour where he was critical of Israel. The court has blocked his transfer out of the state, acknowledging that the detention may be retaliation for protected free speech.
