US annual defence budget seeks to bolster Israeli defences, remove Syria sanctions

The US annual defense budget, the National Defence Authorisation Act (NDAA) for 2026, proposes $900.6 billion in spending for the Pentagon. The bill includes significant security support for Israel, with $200 million allocated for the Iron Dome, David's Sling, and Arrow systems. It also designates $80 million for a joint US-Israel anti-tunnel program and $70 million to help Israel counter drone attacks.
