The US and Israel reportedly plotted to attack Iran, despite media reports at the time suggesting a rift between the two nations. According to a new report, officials from both countries deliberately leaked stories about tensions to lull Iran into a false sense of security. This strategy was employed while the US and Iran were preparing for nuclear negotiations. In reality, the US was aware of and supported Israel's plan for a surprise attack, which was launched in June using modified American F-35s. The attack occurred just two days before a scheduled sixth round of nuclear talks.
