Unrwa chief says Israel spread false aid theft claims to control relief

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (Unrwa) has accused Israel of fabricating claims that Hamas was stealing aid. According to Unrwa Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini, these allegations are designed to push out humanitarian groups. Lazzarini says Israel aims to tighten its control over food distribution in Gaza by discrediting international relief agencies. He emphasized that there is no proof of aid diversion in Gaza.
