Unrwa chief: Gaza 'deadliest' place for journalists, aid workers

The head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has declared Gaza the deadliest place in the world for both journalists and humanitarian workers. More than 230 journalists and over 380 UNRWA-linked personnel have been killed since the war began, prompting calls to end Israel's ban on independent international media access. Israel has rejected petitions to lift the media ban, citing security reasons, and has also demolished an UNRWA headquarters in East Jerusalem. The pressure on aid groups is highlighted by Doctors Without Borders agreeing to provide Israel with a staff list, which has raised safety concerns for its Palestinian workers.
