UN warns that famine will spread to Gaza's Deir al-Balah, Khan Younis very soon

The UN's Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Tom Fletcher, warned that famine in Gaza is expected to spread to Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis very soon. He stated that the death, destruction, and starvation of Palestinian civilians are the result of choices that defy international law and ignore the international community. Fletcher noted that the narrow window of time to prevent this is closing fast. He concluded by insisting that the horror can be stopped and called for unimpeded humanitarian aid to be allowed into the territory.
