UN: 55,000 pregnant women in Gaza face traumatic conditions

A United Nations spokesperson stated that 55,000 women in Gaza are struggling with pregnancy and childbirth under traumatic conditions. Many families are unable to flee due to health issues, security concerns, and the prohibitive cost of transport. The spokesperson, Stephane Dujarric, emphasized that forced Israeli evacuation orders do not absolve warring parties of their duty to protect civilians. Furthermore, several primary health centers have been forced to suspend their operations because of ongoing air strikes.
