UK foreign minister says Israel's E1 settlement plan would be 'flagrant violation' of international law

UK Foreign Minister David Lammy stated that Israel's planned E1 settlement expansion in the occupied West Bank would constitute a flagrant breach of international law. The E1 project, which received final approval from an Israeli defense ministry planning commission, is designed to bisect the occupied West Bank and cut it off from East Jerusalem. Lammy warned that if the plan is implemented, it would divide a future Palestinian state and critically undermine the two-state solution.
