UK attorney general rejects arrest warrant for visiting Israeli president

The UK's attorney general and director of public prosecutions have rejected an application for an arrest warrant for Israeli President Isaac Herzog. The pro-Palestine campaign group Friends of Al-Aqsa (FOA) submitted the application, accusing Herzog of aiding and abetting attacks on civilians in Gaza based on his public remarks. Following the rejection, FOA announced it is lodging a claim in the High Court for a judicial review to challenge the decision. The group argues that the Crown Prosecution Service failed to make a sufficient inquiry to obtain all relevant information before dismissing the warrant application.
