UAE summons Israel envoy over 'cowardly' Qatar attack

The United Arab Emirates summoned Israel's deputy ambassador to formally rebuke an Israeli attack against Hamas leaders in Qatar. The UAE's foreign ministry condemned the action as a "blatant and cowardly" attack and also denounced hostile statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. During the meeting, the UAE minister stated that any aggression against a Gulf Cooperation Council member state constitutes an attack on the collective Gulf security framework.
