UAE influencers defend Emiratis mentioned in Epstein files

Emirati commentators and state-linked figures are defending two prominent Emiratis, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem and Hind al-Owais, after they were mentioned in the recently released Epstein files. Sulayem was replaced as chairman and CEO of the UAE-owned global logistics company DP World following revelations about his extensive email correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein. Despite the content of the emails, which included sexist language, influential Emiratis have publicly praised Sulayem's career and achievements. Emirati influencers have also posted videos in defense of Owais, a UAE official and former diplomat.
