Turkey warns Syrian Kurds: Don't become Israeli pawns

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan issued a sharp warning to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), accusing them of attempting to become pawns for Israel. Fidan stated that Ankara is aware the SDF is stalling on an agreement to integrate with the Syrian central government in Damascus. This ultimatum was delivered during a visit by Syrian diplomatic and security officials to Ankara, where both governments criticized the SDF's recent calls for autonomy. Fidan emphasized that Turkey's patience is waning as the SDF has not taken concrete steps to address Turkish security concerns, such as expelling foreign fighters from Syria.
