Turkey and Saudi Arabia have signed a solar power investment deal valued at approximately $2 billion. The agreement, finalized during President Erdogan's visit to Riyadh, will see Saudi Arabia fund the construction of 2,000 megawatts of solar capacity in Turkey's Anatolia region. This project is expected to power 2.1 million homes and will provide Turkey with the cheapest electricity it has ever secured. The deal is the first phase of a broader 5,000-megawatt project and signifies deepening economic ties between the two regional powers.
