Trump administration reverses new guidelines tying Fema funds to boycotts of Israel

The Trump administration has reversed a policy that threatened to deny federal funds for natural disaster preparation to US states and territories that boycott Israel. A clause in the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (Fema) guidelines was discreetly removed from its terms and conditions following media reports and backlash. The funding was conditional on states following Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directives laid out in April. This occurred as Fema announced nearly $1bn in available funds for states to protect against natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and cyber disruptions.
