Thousands to defy UK ban on Palestine Action in ‘historic’ mass civil disobedience

Campaigners are planning a widespread mass civil disobedience campaign across 18 UK towns and cities to protest the government's ban of the direct-action group Palestine Action. The UK government designated the group a terrorist organization, making support for it a criminal offense punishable by up to 14 years in prison. So far, over 2,000 people have been arrested for defying the ban by holding signs expressing support for the group. The protests, coordinated by Defend Our Juries, are designed to exert pressure ahead of a judicial review of the proscription.
