He claims the UAE is supporting the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in a "race war" against the Sudanese people, leading to massacres and atrocities. Atta specifically criticized Britain for its inaction, suggesting its economic interests and trade relationship with the UAE have compromised its response. The general also stated that the RSF has been able to import mercenaries from countries like Colombia, Ukraine, and various African nations due to a lack of international scrutiny.
