Sweden calls for restoration of medical corridor from Gaza to West Bank

Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Maria Malmer Stenergard, has called on Israel to restore a medical corridor to allow patients to be transferred from Gaza to the occupied West Bank for treatment. Citing the catastrophic humanitarian situation, the minister stated it is crucial for severely ill patients to receive the medical care they need. This diplomatic effort is part of a joint statement initiated by Denmark and signed by over two dozen other countries. The statement also urges Israel to lift restrictions on the delivery of medicine and medical equipment into Gaza, in accordance with international law.
