Sudan urges Trump to designate RSF a terrorist entity as it rules out UAE-linked peace proposals

Sudan's ambassador to the US, Mohamed Abdalla Idris, urged the Trump administration to designate the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) as a terrorist organization. Idris also clarified that his country would not accept a peace proposal involving the United Arab Emirates, citing Abu Dhabi's "destructive" support for the RSF. While Sudan is studying an American peace proposal, it considers the UAE a party to the conflict and therefore an unacceptable mediator. The ambassador also expressed a desire for President Trump to become more personally involved in pressuring the UAE to stop enabling the RSF and help end the war.
