Spain cancels major defence deal with Israel: Report

Spain has cancelled a major €207m defence deal with Israel for advanced aerial technology for its Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets. This marks the third defence contract to be terminated by the country. The cancellation is a result of a new Spanish law that mandates a "total" arms embargo on Israel as a measure aimed at stopping the conflict in Gaza. The decree also prohibits all exports of dual-use products, blocks the transit of aircraft fuel with military applications, and bans imports of products from Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territories.
