Senior Israeli official flees US following arrest over paedophilia

A senior official in the Israel National Cyber Directorate, Tom Alexandrovich, was arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of online paedophilia. He was detained during a conference he attended on behalf of the directorate as part of a multi-agency sting operation targeting child sex predators. According to reports, Alexandrovich, the head of the directorate's technological defence division, was released on $10,000 bail and has returned to Israel. The Cyber Directorate, which is supervised by the Prime Minister's Office, has stated that the employee is on leave while the matter is being clarified.
