Senior Biden aide demands ‘thank you’ for US role in Israel’s Gaza genocide

Hochstein's comments followed Netanyahu's claim that a supposed US arms embargo led to the deaths of Israeli soldiers in Gaza. The aide refuted this by highlighting the extensive US backing for Israel's war, including over $20 billion in military support and the deployment of aircraft carriers. Hochstein stated that the only acceptable response from Israel should be a 'thank you' to the US. Another former official, Brett McGurk, also called Netanyahu's statement 'categorically false,' emphasizing the unwavering US military assistance throughout the crisis.
