Senator Lindsey Graham threatens Norway after wealth fund divests from Caterpillar

US Senator Lindsey Graham threatened Norway with tariffs and visa denials after its sovereign wealth fund divested from the American company Caterpillar Inc. The $1.9 trillion fund's decision was based on the use of Caterpillar's equipment in Israel's war on Gaza and associated human rights violations. Graham's social media posts called the decision "beyond offensive" and warned that doing business with America is a "privilege, not a right." In response, Norway's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store contacted the senator to explain that the wealth fund operates independently of the government.
