Scores arrested for protesting at prison holding Palestine Action hunger striker

British police arrested 86 people for protesting outside a London prison in support of a hunger-striking member of the group Palestine Action. The prisoner, Muhammad Umer Khalid, is demanding immediate bail and an end to alleged prison restrictions on his mail and visits. Khalid is the last of seven prisoners linked to the now-banned direct action group who launched a hunger strike over their detention conditions. He was arrested in connection with an alleged break-in at an RAF airbase in protest of the Israeli arms company Elbit Systems.
