Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Nigeria denounce 'illegal' Israeli state visit to Somaliland

Several Muslim-majority countries, including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Nigeria, have jointly condemned an "illegal" state visit by Israel's foreign minister to the breakaway region of Somaliland. The condemnation follows Israel's recent decision to become the first country to officially recognize Somaliland's sovereignty, which declared independence from Somalia in 1991. In a joint statement, the nations accused Israel of violating Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning that encouraging secessionist agendas could destabilize the fragile region. Israel's Prime Minister justified the recognition as being in the "spirit of the Abraham Accords."
