Report: Nearly 40 percent of Americans think US is too supportive of Israel

A survey by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs reveals that an increasing number of Americans believe the United States provides too much support to Israel in its war on Gaza. The share of Democrats who feel US support is excessive has risen to 53 percent, while 42 percent of Independents now hold the same view. Conversely, 47 percent of Republicans believe the US strikes the right balance in its support, an increase from the previous year. The survey also found that 60 percent of Democrats and 43 percent of Independents think the US should provide more humanitarian aid to Palestinians.
