Relatives of Qassem Soleimani arrested in US

Two relatives of assassinated Iranian military commander Qassem Soleimani have been arrested in the United States. The niece, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, and her daughter were taken into custody by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement after their lawful permanent resident status was terminated. The US State Department cited Afshar's outspoken support for the Iranian regime as the reason for the action. In a related move, the daughter and son-in-law of another slain Iranian official, Ali Larijani, also had their legal status terminated and were barred from entering the US.
