Prominent Saudi academic accuses UAE of being Israel's 'trojan horse'

A prominent Saudi academic has accused the United Arab Emirates of functioning as Israel's 'trojan horse' in the Arab world to weaken Saudi Arabia and emerge as a dominant regional power. In a scathing column, Ahmed bin Othman al-Tuwaijri claims the UAE is blinded by 'hatred and jealousy' and has turned against the kingdom despite decades of Saudi support. He alleges the UAE collaborates with Israel on military and intelligence matters, facilitates Israeli attacks on Palestinian groups, and sows unrest in Yemen by backing separatist factions against the Saudi-backed government. Tuwaijri also condemns the UAE's role in the fragmentation of Libya and the chaos in Sudan.
