Palestinian group 'unequivocally rejects' US sanctions over Gaza flotillas

The Popular Conference for Palestinians Abroad (PCPA) has rejected sanctions imposed by the US Treasury Department over its role in organizing Gaza aid flotillas. The US designated the PCPA as a "front organization for Hamas" and also sanctioned its founder and six other Palestinian aid organizations. The PCPA stated the designation is a unilateral administrative measure that does not affect the legitimacy of its work. The group views the sanctions as part of a political targeting campaign against Palestinian organizations abroad, particularly amid the Israeli war on Gaza.
