Palestinian Authority says it was surprised by US visa refusals for upcoming UNGA in NYC

The Palestinian Authority expressed deep regret and astonishment after the U.S. State Department denied visas to its delegation. The delegation was scheduled to attend the upcoming United Nations General Assembly in New York City. The PA stated this decision contradicts international law and the UN Headquarters Agreement. It stressed that as an observer member of the United Nations, its delegation should be permitted entry by the host country.
