Palestinian administrative detainee from Jenin dies in Israeli custody

A 20-year-old Palestinian administrative detainee, Ahmad Sa’id Saleh Tazaza’a, has died in Israel’s Megiddo prison. He was detained in May 2025 and died under unclear circumstances, which the Prisoners’ Media Office described as a crime linked to systematic practices by the Israeli prisons administration. Megiddo prison has been noted for documented rights violations and an ongoing scabies outbreak. His death reportedly brings the number of Palestinian prisoners and detainees who have died since the start of Israel's war on Gaza to 761.
