Pakistan requests two-week extension for talks as Trump's Iran deadline nears

Pakistan has requested a two-week extension for negotiations to end the US-Israeli war on Iran as a deadline from President Donald Trump nears. Trump threatened to destroy Iran's civilization if it does not cede control of the critical Strait of Hormuz waterway. The Pakistani Prime Minister also called for a two-week ceasefire to allow diplomacy to proceed. Other diplomatic efforts include a UN envoy heading to Tehran, while Russia and China vetoed a UN Security Council resolution authorizing military action against Iran.
