Pakistan on verge of $1.5bn deal to provide weapons and jets to Sudan

Pakistan is on the verge of finalizing a $1.5 billion arms deal to provide jets, drones, and weapons to Sudan's armed forces. This deal, reportedly brokered by Saudi Arabia, is intended to support the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) in their protracted civil war against the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The proposed transfer includes Karakorum-8 light attack aircraft, over 200 drones, and advanced air defense systems. This military support comes as Sudan's conflict continues to create a severe humanitarian crisis, with other regional powers like the UAE accused of arming the opposing RSF.
