Over 500 ready to risk arrest to protest Palestine Action ban on Saturday

Over 500 people are planning to participate in a protest in London against the UK government's ban on the direct-action group Palestine Action. The protest, organized by Defend Our Juries, will test a Metropolitan Police pledge to arrest anyone showing support for the now-proscribed organization. The UK government designated Palestine Action a terrorist organization after its members broke into an RAF base and spray-painted planes they claimed were used in military operations in Gaza. Since the ban was enacted, over 200 people have been arrested for expressing support for the group, which is now punishable by up to 14 years in prison.
