‘Nothing has changed’: Gaza health workers report almost no medical aid entering the strip

Health workers in Gaza report that the medical situation has not improved despite a recent ceasefire, as Israel continues to block the entry of most medical supplies and equipment. Hospitals are grappling with a severe lack of basic supplies like disinfectants, leading to rising cases of sepsis. Due to overcrowding and a shortage of beds, patients with severe injuries, including some just out of comas, are being discharged to makeshift tents or forced to sleep on the floor. There is also a desperate need for specific medications for genetic disorders and trauma-induced seizures, which are currently unavailable.
