Netanyahu says Israeli protesters calling to end war are strengthening Hamas

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned nationwide protests demanding an end to the war in Gaza, accusing demonstrators of boosting Hamas’ position in negotiations. He stated that calls to end the war without defeating Hamas harden the group's stance, delay the release of hostages, and risk a repeat of the October 7 attacks. The protests and strikes called for an end to the conflict and the immediate release of all captives held in Gaza. During the demonstrations, Israeli police arrested at least 22 protesters.
