Netanyahu attends Trump's New Year's Eve party after meeting with Christian Zionists

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended US President Donald Trump's private New Year's Eve gala in Palm Beach, Florida. The attendance of a sitting foreign leader at a private, non-state event was noted as unusual. Before the party, Netanyahu met with Evangelical leaders to promote Christian Zionism, calling them Israel's best friends. He also spoke of fighting on an "eighth front" for the hearts and minds of people in the West, particularly conservatives in the United States, where some of Trump's supporters have become more critical of Israel.
