Netanyahu advisor met Qatari officials in Paris to discuss ceasefire: Report

An advisor to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Ron Dermer, met with senior Qatari officials in Paris to discuss a Gaza ceasefire deal. Dermer communicated that Israel wants the release of all Israeli captives held in Gaza and the defeat of Hamas. This meeting comes after Hamas accepted a 60-day ceasefire proposal from Qatari and Egyptian mediators. The proposed deal, to which Israel has not yet responded, would involve exchanging half the Israeli captives for Palestinian prisoners and halting Israel's military operations in Gaza.
