Nepal unrest draws attention to Israeli army veterans on holiday in country

Recent anti-government unrest in Nepal has drawn attention to the large number of Israeli army veterans who vacation in the country after completing their military service. Israel issued a travel advisory for its citizens, many of whom are post-service backpackers staying in the capital. The presence of these veterans, some of whom served in Gaza, has also attracted scrutiny from human rights organizations. A rights group has formally requested Nepal to arrest and extradite an Israeli Lieutenant, suspected to be in the country, for alleged war crimes committed in Gaza.
