Middle Eastern leaders including Netanyahu and Sisi line up to join Trump 'Board of Peace'

The leaders of Egypt, Israel, and Turkey are set to participate in US President Donald Trump's "Board of Peace" initiative. Nominally created to address the war in Gaza and other crises, the board reportedly requires a $1bn fee for permanent membership, though some initial members may have this waived. While countries like the UAE and Pakistan have also accepted, the initiative has drawn concern and refusals from others, including France and Norway. The invitation extended to Russia has provoked particular outrage, with Ukraine stating it cannot participate alongside Moscow and the UN warning the board could undermine its own work.
