Likud MP says ultranationalist rabbi Meir Kahane was right

The deputy speaker of the Israeli Knesset, Nissim Vaturi, has stated that ultranationalist rabbi Meir Kahane was correct in his views. A member of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, Vaturi made the remarks during a parliamentary debate, adding that he supports "Jewish terror" and that past leaders were wrong to ostracize Kahane. Meir Kahane's Kach movement, which advocated for the expulsion of Palestinians, is designated a terrorist organization in Israel. Vaturi's comments drew condemnation and led to calls for a criminal investigation for supporting a terrorist organization.
