Judge blocks Florida governor from labelling Cair a terrorist organisation

A federal judge has blocked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis from unilaterally designating the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a terrorist organization. The judge's temporary injunction ruled that the governor's executive order infringes on the First Amendment rights of the Muslim-American civil rights group. DeSantis's order, similar to one in Texas, could have allowed for state-level prosecution of anyone supporting CAIR and had already caused the group to lose contracts.
