'It is the duty of the international community to act' to stop Israel, Palestinian UN ambassador says

Palestinian ambassador to the United Nations Riyad Mansour stated that only pressure from the international community can stop Israel's full military takeover of Gaza. He argued that Israel's escalation goes against international law and the will of the global community. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas is reportedly contacting world leaders to encourage responsible action and prevent further disaster in the Gaza Strip. Mansour also expressed gratitude towards the EU, UK, and Germany for their positions on not sending weapons that could be used against Gaza.
