New Israeli measures in the occupied West Bank are expanding civil control into Areas A and B, which have been under Palestinian Authority jurisdiction since the Oslo Accords. The changes also make it easier for Jewish Israelis to privately purchase land in the West Bank, a move expected to accelerate settlement expansion.
