Israeli settlers torch West Bank mosque and spray racist slogans

Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque near the occupied West Bank city of Salfit and spray-painted racist slogans on its exterior walls. Residents arriving for dawn prayers discovered the flames and damage, including profanities against the Prophet Muhammad. The Palestinian Ministry of Religious Endowments described the arson as a "heinous crime" and part of a systematic Israeli policy aimed at intimidating Palestinians. Some of the graffiti also condemned an Israeli military general who had recently criticized the surge in settler violence, fearing it drives instability.
