Israeli forces arrest West Bank mayor

Israeli forces arrested the mayor of Bruqin in the West Bank, the latest in a string of arrests targeting Palestinian officials since August. According to Palestinian media, Israeli forces also arrested several young men and the secretary of the Fatah movement. This follows the recent arrest of Ibrahim Asi, the mayor of Qarawat Bani Hassan. Since late August, Israeli forces have also detained the mayors of al-Mughayyir, Hebron, Qubeiba, and Silat al-Zahr.
