Israeli army fires at emergency vehicles trying to rescue civilians in Gaza City

The Israeli army has reportedly been shooting at emergency vehicles that were trying to rescue wounded and deceased people in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood. Israel has been conducting a carpet bombing campaign in the neighbourhood all week as part of its offensive to take over Gaza City, destroying hundreds of homes. A Gaza Civil Defence spokesman stated that Israeli fire has hit residential buildings, resulting in many casualties. The spokesman called on the international community to intervene.
